How do I add TSA Precheck to American Airlines?

TSA is well-known Transportation Security Administration is an amazing lifesaver, especially it helps when you are a frequent flyer traveler with American Airlines so it can instead of waiting in the security line & stripping off your jacket, laptop, belts, & shoes.

American Airlines offers an excellent TSA precheck membership program tats provides decent expedited screening during airport security. 

To get a TSA precheck, you need to submit your personal and contact details for the background check-in and a little amount. The application charge is 85 US dollars for five years of membership and it can break down to 17 US dollars per year.

Add my TSA PreCheck to an existing American Airlines flight ticket:

• Launch the American Airlines website using any web browser.
• Then, tap on the 'Manage booking/Check-in' option. (This option is available on the homepage of the American Airlines website)
• Then, write the 'Confirmation Number' from the ticket and the 'First & Last Name' of the traveler.
• Tap on the 'Search' button and select your upcoming flight booking.
• Now, click on the 'Add/Edit' button where you can edit your personal information.
• If you know the KTN (Known Traveler Number) then, type 9 digits of your ID and tap on the 'Submit' button.
• After submitting your KTN number, your TSA PreCheck will approve.

Steps to add TSA PreCheck to my new American Airlines flight ticket:

• Again, open the American Airlines website.
• Then, sign in to your American Airlines account using your credentials.
• After then, click on 'Account Info'. (This option will get an upper right corner in your name)
• Then, press the 'Edit Account' option.
• Find the KTN Known Traveler Number and tap on the 'Update' button.

Therefore, any traveler can easily avail of the TSA precheck membership on their flight ticket. In case, if any traveler is facing difficulties in finding a KTN number or adding a TSA precheck on their reservation so he/she must speak with the American Airlines agents.
